Turk is an assistant professor at the Department of Civil Engineering and
Geodesy at the University of Ljubljana. Born in 1962, he holds a B.Sc.
and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and a M.Sc. in Computer Science, all University
of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
His interests include construction information technology, computer integrated construction, computerization of building regulations, world-wide-web, Perl, C++, J.S. Bach, skiing, ...
In Slovenia he is known as the founding editor of the Moj Mikro magazine. His most popular Internet invention is the Virtual Shareware Library.

In 1992 defends his Ph.D. thesis Environment for the Computer Integrated Design of Structures at University of Ljubljana, Dept. of Civil Engineering .
